So I had posted a question on here earlier this week as to if my PSU would run a GTX 770.

I received my parts today and have been installing them, but hit a major snag when installing my video card.

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E168... is my PSU for reference.

Dispite what it says on newegg, and their website, this PSU DOES NOT have 4 6 pin PCIe connectors, it only has two.

Can I buy a 6 pin EPS to 6 pin PCIe connector to make this setup work?

Basically, I put the 8 pin splitter provided with the video card that turns the 8 pin to 2x 6 pin into the video card. I am able to attach 2/3 of the 6 pin PCIe connectors, but I still need 1 more (which I dont have). I do however have a 6 pin EPS connector available.

Did you buy more then one GTX770? I don't seem to recall any cards that take more then 3 8 pin connectors, and the majority dual 6 pin connectors, or dual 8 pin connectors, occasionally one 8 pin and one 6 pin connector.

Some conflicting info in that newegg listing. Description says two PCIe connectors, spec sheet says 4. I also would not ever recommend owning such a power supply. I would return it and purchase a quality Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, or Antec unit.

The 6pin EPS is not pin compatible with PCIe connectors.

Ah, I think I see how they justified it.

While the power supply only has two PCIe connectors coming directly out of it. They also supplied two Molex to PCIe adapters, thus 4, but it really is false advertising.

I can't find a lot of information on Enhance Corporation, the likely OEM behind this SilverStone product, I wouldn't trust it without cracking it open and running a critical eye over the guts, which would void your warranty and return options.

Thanks guys,

I kind of realized it was a dead end to try and work with my old powersupply.

Ran out to microcenter and picked up a nice corsair PSU.

Got everything installed and working.
