Am I able to upgrade from an Intel Celeron 900 to a Intel Pentium 4? I am running a stock HP Presario Compaq CQ62 with Intel I am upgrading my RAM from 2gb to 4gb as I can.

It is slightly possible. You would have to disassemble your whole laptop then find out if the cpu is soldered to the motherboard, and it is in most cases making it almost impossible to change CPUs without causing damage. There is no cpu upgrade support list with laptops either so you could end up adding a different CPU that the BIOS doesn't support, wasting both your time and money.

It might....your best bet would be to do some research and see if the same laptop you have comes with other cpu types like the P4 you want to install. It's not all about the socket type, the BIOS has to support that particular cpu also.
