Hi,

I'm going to buy this computer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Intel-I5-3570K-Quad-Core-Fast-Office-Home-Multimedia-Pc-Computer-500GB-4Gb-AVP-/370754316702?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item5652ade99e and get a GTX 580 for it. My question would I need to buy a connector to convert the PSU cable to a 6 pin and 8 pin? If so can you redirect me to a ebay UK page where I could buy the connectors? Also this is my first ever computer so any advice about the installing the graphics would be great :) Thanks

I seriously do not recommend getting a used card unless it has an extensive warranty. You'd be better off stretching your budget and getting a new GTX 760.

You forgot the operating system.

1. Why would you buy a GTX 580? A GTX 760 is cheaper and better. Unless the 580 is ridiculously cheap for some odd reason.
2. You will need to buy Windows separately, since this doesn't come with it.
3. The i5 3570K will not be able to be overclocked due to the motherboard being an H61 chipset.
4. They do not list the make and model of the PSU, so I have no clue if you will need to buy extra connectors.
5. I really wouldn't buy this computer. You'd be better off building your own.

In the UK a GTX 760 is ~200-230 pounds while a GTX 580 can be found from~120-150 pounds. Thanks for the help I will see about building my own :)

Here's a build I propose. My budget is £360, I will buy my own graphics card later.
Gigabyte XKT-1155 Z68AP-D3 Any better £50 motherboard? I know I can't overclock but it was only £47
Intel Core I5-3470 (Don't plan on overclocking, when the time comes I will upgrade.)
Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 4GB (Will later add another 4GB stick)
Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W (I've heard modular is better?)
Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB 6GB/S Internal SATA Drive
CiT Vantage Midi Mesh Gaming Case with HD Audio, 4 Fans, Card Reader and No PSU - Black (Any better cases for £40 or is this fine?)
LG GH24NS95.AUAA 24x SATA SuperMulti Internal DVDRW Bulk
Any advice? Is there something I've missed?
