Need Great Monitor for Skin Tones

I need a 20 -24" monitor that does a fantastic job of showing-off skin tones, and flaws in skin tones, from ultra-high resolution photographs (no streaming video. or gaming going on here, just tumors and dyschromia). This is a medical equipment component, so it must replicate browns (the most difficult color to replicate) with great contrast and clarity. Standard monitors won't do. NTSC scores need to be ultra-high - the higher the full color gamut scores, the better. The Samsung Synchmaster XL series from 5 years ago was good; what should replace it today?

You didn't specify budget - Medical diagnostic monitors are pretty expensive:

If you're not going to be viewing xrays, then I believe the mx series is more aprpro than rx.

If those turn out to be too much $$ wise, you could then get a high quality NEC, EIZO, or LaCie,
and a calibrator.
