Hi guys,
I have a gigabyte gtx 570 card that keeps crashing my system when playing killing floor.

I have run a furmark 15 minute stress test on it, and whilst the results are not fabulous (averaged 8fps @ 69 degrees overall score just a little higher than a gtx260) it performed the test no problems at all.

I have to swap the cards to an ati radeon 6970 in order to play the game

Does anyone know what may be causing the instability???

system is
CPU INTEL 2700 K
PSU COOLER MASTER 1000W SILENT PRO M2
M/B GA-Z77X-UD3H
WIN 7X64
8 GIG RAM

Driver conflict? Registry errors? Too much stuff running in the background?
Try running CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry both. If your system is badly messed up, run it until it comes back clean.
If there's still no joy, uninstall the driver again and run Driver Sweeper from safe mode. Have it remove any Nvidia, AMD, ATI graphic driver remnants it finds. Reboot and install the latest driver for your card and OS.

Driver Sweeper: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.html

Go to Windows System Configuration/Start up and see how many boxes you can uncheck. If you have a lot checked, you may have stuff running in the background that is conflicting.
