Hi guys. Building my first computer. I was following someones build I found online here it is. My Build. Anyways my buddy was looking over it and he said that closed loop liquid cooling really isn't worth it and that I probably can go a cheaper route. I'd like to overclock it a little once I figure out how. If anyone else has some input I'd appreciate it.

You can go closed liquid, but its really only worth it for 240mm rads like the H100i or H110i and for heavy OC. If you dont-medium OC go for the trusty coolermaster hyper 212 EVO. One of the best, cheaper air coolers out there. Also you probably, or rather need to get an HDD in addition to an SSD.

there are cheaper choices, but I prefer water-cooling to air, its sort of a "luxury" thing I guess. Also in terms of performance, it is a lot better than a CM hyper 212 (~15c) , but it cost a lot more. Water-coolers are really good at handling high heat since they use water to transfer heat, as opposed to air.

If you want the best, get the h80i. plain and simple. If you want to spend less, get the CM 212
