ChecK that your laptop drive has a DVD logo to read DVD and in the bios it the first boot device. If there a read issue on your DVD drive use the Microsoft iso to USB tool and a four gig blank USB stick and make a bootable USB stick.

I did a bootable usb with the win7 USB tool..but I get an error.. something missing I guess.. I don't remember. and also the dvd of windows 7 is working fine because I just installed to verify but it was the 32 bit version and installed from windows.. But I need to install win 7 64.
