Is this a good rig to run games such as BF4 and 3, CoD Ghosts etc on high to ultra and for VFX, editing and animation?
CPU=Intel 3rd Generation Core i7-3770K
GPU=Asus HD 7870 AMD Radeon DirectCU II
RAM=Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance Low Profile 16GB
Motherboard=Asus SABERTOOTH Z77
PSU=
Corsair TX650V2 Enthusiast Series 650W
Case=Zalman Z11 Plus
And a 1TB HDD
I only have another £50 odd to spend on upgrading so please keep this in mind if you suggest anything new!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Will prob want to spend some of that 50 on a CPU cooler - look at the Hyper 212 EVO, with whatever left might see if you can stick it into the GPU, depending on which one your looking at - not sure of availability or prices where you are, and while I prefer nVidia, I know the Asus 7870 runs $220 here and can pick up some 7950s for $10-20 more, which is a better GPU

yh go for 7950 and that will most likely play all of those games in high settings to ultra easily and get a hyper 212 evo which will costs u around 25-30$ and with i7 you don't have to worry about anything else (except graphics card :p) and yah i7 3770k can handle all VFX and animation works , You planning to Overclock the Processor as you got a k processor which is unlocked ? if you can then go for an i7 4770k haswell series processor .

Thanks for the Info, I was hoping to overclock it a little, but not too much. I think I might go with the cooler you suggested, and switch to the i7 4770K. What brand would you guys recommend for the 7950? Thanks for the tips!

The 4770K has an advantage of maybe 10% in the clock for clock comparisons, but the 3770K OCs higher with less heat so that cuts the advantage down to maybe 3-5% if that, a good OCer can take the 3770K rather high and give it a slight advatage if comparing at heat levels rather than clock to clock
