Hello I just bought myself 2 MSi 660ti 2GB PE to sli. When I plugged them into my motherboard I plugged one into the first 16x PCIEslot and the other into the 1st 8x as I didn't think there would be enough airflow between the two if they were both plugged Ito the 16x. Now once I booted up my pc the computer found and downloaded the driver but when I went into the nvidia control panel I was able to enable sli but nine of the options s there. I can't configure physx or turn on the sli bar and my fps are no better in game with two cards than with one. So do I need to have both cards plugged in to the 16x ports? Also my specs are cooler aster cosmos 2 case amd FX 8350@4.5 2x MSi PE 660ti asus crosshair v and 24gb Gskill ripjaw 1600.

Wow. Running 3 displays at the same time. Triple monitor setup, or 2 side monitors for desktop? Just for testing purposes, run just the single display and see if the SLI improves. Disable/disconnect the other 2. If there's no improvement, try moving one of the monitors to the other card.

My 2 x GTX 660 OC cards average around 80% improvement over a single card for comparison.

Yeah the sli bridge is plugged in and the GPUS are both receiving power. Also when I first turned the computer on it detected the new card and downloaded a driver, but I reinstalled the newest driver from Nvidia.

And in the NCP/3D settings/configure sli, surround, physx it doesn't show this:

It does indeed show that, but that's all it shows regarding sli. The other forums I was reading led me to believe that there should be more options. Also when I boot a game my frames are worse than with a single 660ti. I tried AC3 Skyrim and Bat,an Arkham City. Got an average of 40 fps. When I get off work ill upload screen caps of my nvidia Carl. Pannel

Well, at least we know it is working. The 2nd card is recognized as the 2nd card in an SLI configuration. Do you have "maximize Performance" ticked?

Have you tried swapping the cards around? Trying them individually and testing them?

You might download Evga Precision* and check the output of the cards when gaming if you have a 2nd monitor. (*you'll have to register for EP)
