Hi Everyone,
I am trying to finish a desktop build.
Currently this is what I have:
Intel 4770k
Gigabyte Z87x-UD4H
OCZ vertex 450 SSD

I want to buy the following in this coming labor day weekend:
RAM (Currently have my eyes on Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 1866
Power supply: Corsair enthu. TX750M
Cooling: NZXT Kraken x40
HD: a 1 TB 7200 rpm that is cheap

I'm looking for the community input on how to save money and still get same value.
Especially on the RAM.
* I might be overclocking
** I want it to run games well but at the moment will not buy a GPU (Waiting for XMAS deals)

Any input will be welcome.
Thanks and have a nice weekend :)

Thank you for the reply.
The games I'll run are pretty basic to start with, I think I will be ok.
In any case, the CPU is already purchased.
Any thoughts on RAM?

Thanks :)

What your saying makes sense.
I might also need to use some CAD software (Inventor/Solidworks) and some simulation software. I think those would benefit from an extra 8GB...

What brand of RAM is recommended in this case?
