I have been having a problem where randomly the screen will go black and my monitor will say it is going to sleep. I have the computer hooked up to my TV also and both screens go black at the same time so I don't think the monitor is the issue. Also, if I'm listening to something or playing a game the sound keeps playing through the speakers so I believe the computer is still running.

For some reason I thought it was the power supply that was the problem, so I replaced that but I am still having the same problem. Now I was thinking I should try a new graphics card because mine is rather loud and feels hot whenever the computer is running. But would that really fix the problem? I was thinking about buying the NVIDIA GeForce GTX650Ti Boost but I was unsure if it would be compatible with my motherboard (Manufacturer: Pegatron IPMTB-TK HP: Truckee-UL8E).

Can anyone help me out? I really don't know a lot about computers and I need this one fixed.

Well I think the answer is that the UL8E motherboard is a piece of junk. I have the same board with constant blue screens and freezes. I thought it was just a one of hardware component fail BUT after researching I found that those motherboards are failing in their thousands - a whole HP line went down the toilet - they tried to shush it up too ( as ther costs for them would have been immense ). So sorry no solution other than try another motherboard with a decent reputation. Cheers and good luck!
