monitor will not turn on?

Hey, i just finished putting together a PC, and i'm having one particular issue.
When i press the power button, everything powers up inside the PC. The CPU and GPU fans spin and everything else is fine, except the monitor remains on standby, and i have no idea why.

I've double checked every cable, and the monitor works on the other computers that i've plugged it into.

Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II 945
GPU: GTX 550Ti
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB Dual Channel
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

ChEck that you dd not forget the four or eight pin pci power plug near the CPU. If it plugged in check tat you used the mb stand offs and the mb not shorting out to the case or rear io shield. Check that the clear CMOS jumper on right and the reset button not stuck in.
