Ok so I will try to describe my issue as best I can. Tonight I was playing a game on my home built computer. During the game the computer powered off. No warning or anything, just lost power like someone pulled the plug. After about 5 sec it started back up but will not post. I do not get the normal beep i would get. All fans and case lights come on and stay on until I hold down the power button. Computer just sits there doing nothing. I get nothing on the screens and they go into sleep mode. I have tried disconnecting the GPU and tried using the onboard graphics, nothing. Tried disconnecting the power cord and removed the battery for 5 min and still nothing. Tried removing memory sticks one by one and still no go. So I am at a loss. Computer is about a year old and up until now I have not had an issue. Need to get this back up and running as I have a lot of work related stuff on it.

Specs: Windows 7 64bit, Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram 8GB, GeForce GTS 450 1GB, Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard, Intel i5 2500k 3.3GHz (OC 4.5GHz), Corsair H80 liquid cooler, Coolermaster Elite 430 case

Maybe the PSU died? What PSU are you using?

Yea I am starting to think PSU. I am using a casegears eco-element 750w PSU. This is a hold over from my first rig I built back in DEC 2009. Maybe it has finally bit the dust. I do have a 500w power supply I am going to try tomorrow.

Yup it is my PSU. Hooked up my 500w psu and the computer came right up. Wonder if this one can power my rig until I get a new one next week?

The minimum system power requirements for your GPU is 400w (according to Nvidia's website) so it seems like 500w should be alright to power it. I don't know what brand your 500w PSU is, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to be conservative in how you use your rig the next week until you get a new PSU.
