I have never had an issue of a dying monitor, so have little knowledge in general diagnosis of the problem. I have had a 24" Hannspree Plasma HD monitor, I bought it almost 6 years ago now. Recently the colors started dimming and flickering. It happens for a few seconds then goes back to normal. Does it off and on, nothing really reproduces the problem consistently. I do not have another monitor to hook my system up to, to test that, is there a way to test it without that? Or is this a common problem you folks have heard of before? This monitor cost me 590 bucks 6 years ago, I was hoping, I guess, for a lifetime monitor (totally unrealistically of course). This has been the best monitor I have ever had, absolutely incredible, would love to save it if possible.
