Hi guys,
First time post here, basically I have just bought and installed a samsung 840 ssd and I chose to do a fresh install of windows 7. Basically I want to get office transferred over from my old hard drive which is still connected to my PC but I don't have the disc or product key any more as I got from my old workplace. What is the easiest way to do this if at all possible?
Many thanks in advance :)
Lee.

I can´t think of a way right now.
There are some tools that move programs from one drive to another and try to change the registry accordingly. However, none I know is capable of moving Office because of the sheer amount of registry entries.

But isn´t there a way to view your product key in office?

I transferred OS and APPS (drive c:\) to SSD. I have a Dell 4600 with 750Gb drive partitioned to 300GB(OS and Apps) and 350Gb(Data). I installed OCZ Vector 256 GB SSD. I did a Disk Clone... It copied everything from my 300GB HDD to the new SSD. When its done I change the bios setting of my notebook to boot on the SSD. After reboot all my program are on the SSD (W7x64 and all applications). No need for reinstallation of any software. Windows7 detected a new hardware and flag for reactivation. I click yes and everything is working faster with SSD.

The entire drive c:\ (300Gb Seagate) was cloned to Vector 256 SSD. Including the bootloader.
Disk Clone works if the source HD is <= to the target HD/SSD.

JUST IN CASE YOU NEED to DO THIS:
Initially it wont work for me since the 2nd partition of the drive contained a lot of data. I had my data partition backup and save. I deleted that partition to make it appear that my source/content will fit on the 256 SSD. After that Disk Clone work.

To protect my data and OS drive c:\.... I made a backup and save it on my usb-drive just in case.

Here's the tools that I use:
Norton Ghost to back-up my HDD.
EaseUS Todo BackUp: http://www.todo-backup.com/?gclid=CJCZmZfPqLkCFSho7AodXhYAaw

OCZ provided Acronis Home Backup copy... I did not use it.
