OC details about radeon 7850 on watercooling

as I had to move away from windows XP (f*** you microsoft), I had to ditch some of my old PC parts too, and the main GPU (so not GPGPUs!) was one of them.
I'm not a gamer / headroom overclocker anymore, but the new card (sapphire radeon 7850 dual-x 1GB) is still water-cooled, as the old nvidia G80 GPU was.
It's a bit stupid to mount a water-block and not overclock it, so i'm just asking people here who are familiar with modern graphics cards:
- how much power do I have left on a 7850 card when you disconnect 2 fans and have only 1 6-pins PCIe connector?
- are there any websites with more or less acceptable bios mods for cards like these?
- if the above is not true, how do I prepare a bios mod myself? I use win 7 / ubuntu, and the last one is not really library concerning oc'tools (but is really funny to play with openCL development), so it would be nice to embed it in the bios.

will trixx save the settings into my vga ROM? eg: when I boot into ubuntu, will it load the trixx settings, or the normal ones?
*edit*: yes, I know this is a weird question, but in ubuntu, this card is a openCL renderer. the ATI cards in the system (a 7790 + this one) are responsible for integer calculations, while the nv 660 is responsible for floating point. I want it to load the stable overclock values so it performs faster openCL rendering ...
*edit2* corrected typo
