So I'm getting a laptop for Christmas and really all I will be doing is going on the internet, typing up documents for school, playing Minecraft, and possibly recording with something like fraps or DXtory. I have to buy the graphics card separately and put it into my computer. I'm looking for one that is under $100, and will run Minecraft VERY WELL, 50+ or 100+ fps, medium to high settings, even when recording. I will probably be getting i5 or i7 processor with 4GB Ram and 500GB+ hard drive, as well as probably Windows 8 if I can. Please help ASAP!

Sadly, standard graphics cards do not fit laptops. The discrete cards that do are designed specifically for laptops but are not readily available from stores, thay have to be bought already installed in the laptop.

Of course, that's assuming you have/get a laptop which can have the graphics card upgraded as the vast majority of laptops cannot. The best you can hope for is an i5/i7 with intel HD 4000+ graphics or an AMD A8/A10 apu with 8670D (or better) graphics. While these may not give you 50+ fps, they will still be very playable.
