Posting this in the OSX forum but its a hybrid question really.

I accidentally converted all volumes on my MacBook Pro's single HDD to Dynamic, and now because of this, I can't boot to OSX, Bootcamp, or my Recovery HD.

I know the general solution is probably to "reinstall," but I can't do that without creating a flash drive of the lion installer, which can only be downloaded through the App Store (which I cannot get to, as I can't boot).

I'd like to know first off if my data on the MacBook drive is affected, and if it will still be there.

I'd also like to know if a fix is as easy as taking out the HDD, plugging it into my pc tower, and using disk manager to convert the volumes back to basic, or at least get my data off the drive.

Any solutions you guys could help me with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
