Been having problem after problem since I built my PC last November. Here's the latest;

I was having problems with a program and was advised to get a SSD to boot the OS and Programs off of and save on to my HDD. So I bought a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD and plugged it into the SATA port on the motherboard and the power supply.

The SSD didn't pickup in the Computer window so I inserted the Install Disc the SSD came with. It didn't read the SSD either.

So I decided to unplug/replug it in. But when doing so accidentally unplugged a couple other cords. I plugged them back in but accidentally touched a Thunderbolt pin set (TB_Header) on the motherboard which made my computer shut off.

Now, when I turn it on, it shows the ASUS logo screen and says Press DEL to enter BIOS
Then goes to an American Megatrends screen (which it never went to before), and says the Motherboard, Processor, Memory, Detected AT/ATAPI devices (Hard drives including the SSD)

it also says USB Device over Current status detected,No Keyboard Detected,
and finally that it will shut down in 15 seconds...

-Which it does.

On the motherboard the DRAM_LED and BOOT_DEVICE_LED are lit red. There is no beep code.

MY PC:

ASUS M5A99FX Motherboard, AMD 4.2GHz Quadcore Processor, Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD, Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce 660Ti, 16GB RAM, 1000W Power Supply
