Hi all,
So I've decided to build my first computer ! :)  I consider myself a average user and just an occasional gamer and now that I have some money I was thinking about buying a laptop. But I quickly (luckily for me :)  ) aborted that plan since I figured that I don't really need mobility. So I went out looking for a PC. I found loads of PC's that would fit my need more than adequately but I always want a little bit more out of my money :p  so I decided it was finally time to build my custom rig :p  :)  BTW I'm momentarily studying in Prague ( Czech Republic ) so parts might be a little bit dearer, but It's really nothing compared to other countries in and out of Europe :/  + I can always buy stuff when I'm home in the UK :)  My budget is at a max of £400 ($618) WITHOUT the case. That I already have picked out :)

So first of all my initial plan is ( !PLEASE! correct/notify me if it's not a good idea :)  ) that I would buy all the stuff I wanted WITHOUT a dedicated graphics card, all the RAM I want or an optical drive ( I'm not sure if it works like this, so please inform me ! But I'm 90% sure of it :p  ) so basically I would buy better quality components and THEN ramp up the graphics department purchasing a top notch graphics card plus some additional 8 Gb RAM sticks ( sticks??? maybe ??? you get the point :p  ) So to round up my evil plan -> think of it as completing the project to about 80% (working state basically ) and then when I get some more cash I'll complete it by adding the "accessories/performance boosters" :)  As I said -> PLEASE notify me if it's not a good idea since it is my first project :)

So now the parts I was thinking about ( if there are any better priced solutions or simply better solutions please say ! same goes for compatibility issues <- by that I mean if some parts won't fit in the case or won't work between themselves. You must remember I found these parts based mostly on YouTube video search results and site recommendations :p  )

Okay so I'll start of with my chosen case :)  ( If there are any other cool cases out there you know of, hit me up ! I basically picked this case because of the cooler/theme :)  I love neon green and I'm a massive fan (get it ? :p  :p  :p  ) of Nvidia) So as some of you might have guessed the case I fell in love with is....

1. The Coolmaster Dominator CM 690 II. Nvidia Edition
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Edition-NV-692A-K...

Next the CPU I thought would run the show superbly is..

2. Intel Core i5-4670k
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Graphics-BX80646I74770-Ge...

I'm not sure if this CPU is good, so please suggest or correct me ! :)

And that's really were it ends :(  I'm not to sure about the rest so that's why I posted here :)  ) so hopefully some kind people here in the Tom's Hardware forums can help me :)  So if i do get this CPU that leaves me with about £220 ($340) to work with on the rest.... Thanks for all the advice and most of all for reading !!

Get a 500w PSu from antec, XFX, COrsair, Seasonic.

Get 8gb RAM. Nothing you will do, not even gaming will use more than 4-6gb.

Get a z87 motherboard if you intend to overclock the CPU.

No intention of overclocking, all I need to know is if getting all the parts without the GPU will work... I think so :)

Yes getting everything but the GPU will work fine.
