Review My First Build

Hey everyone, getting parts together from my first build, if anyone could give me advice on possibly improving parts let me know. All of the parts are on sale so the price is cheaper than what it appears. Looking for a good work horse computer, might add some RAM later. I run engineering programs like Matlab often. I want to partition the hard drive to have a linux OS as well. If you could let me know what you think about the motherboard and the processor especially, I would really appreciate it. No graphics card yet, considering just a 660Ti eventually. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Well, the sum ends up being about 100 dollars cheaper with the labor day sales, and I thought it was better to bump up to some more trusted brands if it didn't cost much more, particularly the power source. Which parts do you think I should change to? I definitely want an i7 and 8GB of RAM.

If you want an i7 microcenter is has the best deal on them with the labor day sale going on.
