x16 + x4 vs x16 + x8

So I am looking at the new ASrock h87 performance mobo and I am not very happy about the thing that it has 1 x16 slot running on x16 and the second one running only on x4. How much performance loss will i get when CF'ing on x16 and x4 than on x16 and x8?

If it's PCI-e 3.0, then you wouldn't be losing much if any, I think. Remember that each generation of PCI-e roughly doubles bandwidth, so a PCI-e 3.0 x4 slot performs about the same as a 2.0 x8 slot. (I may be overlooking something though...)

I am pretty new to whole this pcie thing so you're saying that if I CF two cards on x16 both for example I will get 100% or like fr ex 80 fps and if I CF on x16 and x4 I will get 10% loss which makes 72fps?

From that article and as stated above "Again, the average difference is stuck at 10%."
