I just purchased the the Razer Tiamat 7.1 and I recently purchased the MSI Z87 GD65 Gaming motherboard with Sound Blaster cinema 7.1. My question is will I still need a dedicated sound card or is the onboard sound sufficient

More about : dedicated sound card

well you wont *need* onboard sound if your integrated sound works.. if you want higher quality sound then yes you will then *need* to upgrade to a dedicated sound card

The motherboard has one of those integrated sound cards that's separated from the rest of the board and its supposed to be like a dedicated sound card I can't think of the name of it.
