I recently upgraded some of my pc parts and I'm having problems with lagging since then in games like Gta IV, Dirt: Showdown...

SPECS:
Sapphire HD 7850 1gb
Intel i7 3770 with Hyper T4 CPU cooler
Asus P8H61 pro
Corsair vx550w
WD 500 gb sata 1,5 gb/s
Corsair 2x4gb Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz

Can please someone help me find out what is bottlenecking my PC?

theres little chance of bottlenecking that system. more likley if your playing on line your trying to connect to servers with a greater than 250 ping.
this can be caused by a wireless connection with a weak signal, to others using the net in your home while your trying to play or the server your connecting to is to far away...
if your not playing on line check your antivirus isnt trying to constantly scan every file by turning game mode on.(if it has 1).
as usual check your temps and make sure your drivers/redistobutables are up to date.

GTA4 is a really bad port and is badly optimised so I could expect the occasional bit of lag with that. I can't comment about Dirt however. what version is the hard drive? blue, green, black?

That could be why! the greens have very slow seek times, which means (I'm simplifying here) that when the hard drive wants to retrieve a file it takes a long time for the read arm (like on a record deck) to get in position, so when a game wants to load a new piece of scenery or data that hasn't been pre-loaded into the RAM it will have to read it off the hard drive, which in your case is why I think you're getting lag.

jwk3 good catch that mate... i missed it...

yep greens are low power low speed storage drives mate there pointless for gaming as there just to slow. as said gta 4 is a buggy mess of a port and will run poorly on most builds. the only way i managed to play it smoothly on my system was to drop the draw distance to 35 and run it off a raid 0 drive that pushes close to 250MBs your green drive will be lucky to push 60MBps along with very slow seek times it will crumple your gameplay...
the rest of the build is spot on for gaming. but i would recommend you get some faster hdds and raid0 them for best performance. or just get a faster black or blue drive (depending on how long you run the hdds will tell you which to get)
