Can't get drivers from AMD Catalyst for my Radeon HD 7450

Hello, I recently installed an AMD Radeon HD 7450 into my grandmother's computer. It works fine, but it won't play most games because the drivers need to be updated. I tried downloading AMD Catalyst Suite or whatever, but when I look in the install directory, nothing is there. Restarting the computer has not helped either. Please help. Thanks.

EDIT: My grandmother's computer is a Lenovo ThinkCentre with onboard graphics. Could this be causing the problem?

What do you mean by install directory. You download the driver to a directory on you hdd. That is either the standard download directory or a different one, chosen by you. You should find a exe file after download completes in there. That exe will unpack to a directory on c and install from there.

When I download the Catalyst Suite, it says that it's going to install into C:/Program Files/ATI Technologies. But when I look there, the folder is completely empty.

Only parts of the driver are installed to "ATI Technologies" The main part should be in the "ATI" directory under program files.

There should be an icon in the task bar after the restart, an entry in the start menu or just right click on the desktop.

None of these work.

None of these work.

So, the install failed? There is a reports directory under program files\ATI. Just double click the newest. It will open in IE and tell you some details about the install.

Well, there isn't anything under "Error messages", so I assume that there was no error, but it it does say that it detected another device. Would this be a problem with my onboard graphics card?

Do you see the new card in device manager? Is the monitor connected to the new card?

It isn't showing up in device manager, but yes, the monitor is connected to the card.
