Laptop has new hard drive due to failure. Need network adapter to connect to internet. I am on another PC. How do I find an ddownload the driver I need?

First, by telling us, what make and model it is and what os you have. If it's am old Laptop, it may get difficult to find win7 drivers for example.

Thank you each and every one! Thanks to the tips here we found the driver. The laptop (only 2+ years old) is much newer than the PC, but it is now connected to the internet and I am restoring files. I appreciate your help.
