Hi all,

I am currently in the process of building my first custom PC. I have done a lot of research and I would just like a second opinion before I actually order the parts.

My needs are going to be mostly using Microsoft Visual Studio, watching movies, and some Gaming [COD BO2, Metro 2033, Battlefield 3 & 4 etc...] I will not be using photoshop or anything like that.

I currently have a 720p tv that I plan on hooking my build up via HDMI. I also have a second monitor that I would like to hook up for running applications (not gaming). I do not plan on upgrading after this for a while so I want to make sure everything will be good enough to play games for a while. I would like to keep the budget around 800$ but am willing to go up to 1000$ to prevent having to do any upgrading in the next 6-12 months. I do not plan on overclocking anytime soon but might consider it in the future.

I would like to play games on ultra on my 720p tv and at least high on a 1080p tv with a decent fps. Something comparable to a PS4 or XBox one would be sufficient.

Here is what I came up with:

CPU - i5-3570k, 220$ http://

MOBO - ASRock z75, $85, http://

RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 1600, $67, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB

VIDEO - Geforce gtx 650 ti Boost superclocked 2gb 192-bit, $170, http://

or

VIDEO - Sapphire radeon hd 7850 2gb 256-bit, $165, http://

PSU - Raidmax hybrid 2 530W, 45$, http://

CASE - COOLER MASTER Elite 430 RC-430-KWN1 Black Steel / Plastic Computer Case, 45$, http://

HDD - SEAgate barricuda 1tb 7200 rpm, 70$, http://

OS - windows 7 oem 64-bit, 100$

TOTAL - $800

Alternatively....

CPU - amd fx 8350, 200$

MOBO - GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard, 125$, http://

alternatively...

CPU - amd fx 6300, 120$

MOBO - GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard, 125$, http://

I am wondering if:

Will the PSU be sufficient?
Will all of the CPU's meet my needs?
Is the ram fast enough?
Is the motherboard sufficient for non crossfire/sli?
Is there a bottleneck in any of these?
Would you recommend sacrificing the i5 for fx 6300 for better graphics card for better game graphics?
Will the lga 1155 motherboard be sufficient for overclocking?
Will the gigabyte motherboard be sufficient for overclocking?
Also is there anything else that I need to consider before purchasing?

Solution
e dont go with the raidmax power suply i do not belive that to be a realiable brand price is to good to be true and cant find any reveiws get this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013
i would keep the i5 just for the factor you can have less nose and get a extreme 4 for better overclocking and if you cant get a 7950 witch has better preformance by a lot for 220 here
