So I built my first gaming rig with the i7-4770k and HD 7990. I seem to be having issues with some games;

Skyrim - Far away mountains flicker when moving (fixable by editing skyrimprefs.ini)

Fallout 3 - Sky flickers (alternates from very bright to normal very quickly) when looking around.

Battlefield 3 - Some texture flickering when looking at distant objects. I don't know how best to describe it, but looking through a sniper scope at distant game objects (buildings, pavements) causes very rapid texture flickering.

League of Legends - My main problem. The UI is flickering like mad. Ability icons just rapidly flicker, as well as my character icon at the bottom left, my map. Sometimes the whole UI will just have a whole purple layer flickering over it.

Fallout 3 and LoL problem google searches reveal turning off Crossfire helps. First of all I wasn't entirely sure whether a dual GPU card is classified as Crossfire. Secondly on AMD catalyst I've tried creating 3D application profiles, setting Crossfire to "disabled" and linking them to LoLlauncher.exe, Fallout3.exe but this does nothing. I also downloaded AMD application profiles but this also hasn't helped.

(Is there anything to AMD application profiles? I installed it, but it only shows up in list of installed programs and there is no other way of interacting with it).

Does anyone have any alternate suggestions?

Solution
You are correct, a dual-gpu card counts as crossfire. This is why motherboards support quad-fire and quad-sli (2 dual-gpu cards)
