My current build is
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz w/Coolermaster Hyper 212, 4 Copper Heat Pipes, Dual Cooler CPU fan
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3, X-Fire, Onboard Video, HDMI, SATA3, USB 3.0, GB LAN
Memory kit: 8gb Hyper X Kingston
Hard Drive: Crucial 256gb ssd + Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200 rpm
Power Supply: Corsair 750w v2
Case: Apevia X-Dreamer-4 Silver and Blue, front USB 2.0 & 3.0, Temp. display, Hot swap HDD
Video Card: Sapphire Vapor X 7950 OC
I am wondering if i would benefit from a Nvidia gpu simply for physx? What would this improve on my gaming/usage overall and which card would be best Price to performance for my needs?

Solution
The upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts game as well as the Witcher 3 and Batman: Arkham Origins will all feature the latest APEX PhysX effects. For COD: Ghosts, among other things, it will allow smoke that reacts to gunshots and player movement.

If you want to experience these effects, you need to either ditch that 7950 or try to use the Hybrid PhysX hack, that has been enabled successfully for Borderlands 2.

Just wondering since in an earlier debat me of me buying a 7950 over a 660ti it was stated I would miss the physx but I have noticed it affecting me in games like Arkham city and the witcher 2 where I easily stay locked at 60fps

PhysX can be nice, but it is simply an added effect. If you were buying a new video card, and wanted PhysX for a few games, then get an Nvidia card, but it is not worth buying a new card only for PhysX.

The Witcher 2 does not use PhysX, though the Batman games do.

Solution
Unless you want to use older/hybrid drivers the only option to get PhysX will be to swap the HD7950 for either a GTX760 or GTX770, while it IS possible to get PhysX running with a hybrid rig, it's a pain, and you'll have to set it up for each game to get the best benefits.
