Question about moving a RAID1

I have an Asus Maximus V Gene (Z77). I originally attached a pair of drives to its Intel 6Gb/s ports and configured them in RAID1. I have since obtained a SSD and would like to use it on one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports. Can the RAID drives be moved, as is, to a pair of Intel 3Gb/s ports, or will the RAID need to be broken and rebuilt? Thanks.

It can be moved around as much as you like as long as it stays on an Intel controller. It can even be moved to another PC.
  2. Should be good. I did that on wife's pc several months ago. Only pain was getting iTunes squared away.
  3. Thank you both. With two functionally identical answers, I selected the first reply.
  4. I moved the RAID, and all is well; no problems. Thanks again.
