Question about moving a RAID1

I have an Asus Maximus V Gene (Z77). I originally attached a pair of drives to its Intel 6Gb/s ports and configured them in RAID1. I have since obtained a SSD and would like to use it on one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports. Can the RAID drives be moved, as is, to a pair of Intel 3Gb/s ports, or will the RAID need to be broken and rebuilt? Thanks.

Onus :

It can be moved around as much as you like as long as it stays on an Intel controller. It can even be moved to another PC.

Should be good. I did that on wife's pc several months ago. Only pain was getting iTunes squared away.
