My PC doesn't show a connection via Ethernet cable. The amber light in the back is on and it shows a flashing yellow light so at least it reads it. I know its not the cable or network either because my friends PC connects fine. I've been having to use wireless but that is far too slow. I looked through my device manager and it says my "Ethernet Controller" is missing a driver. If thats the problem how do I know what driver to get? Any other suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
The driver should have come with your motherboard/system, often by selecting update driver in device manager it will resolve the issue. Make sure the controller is enabled in BIOS.

I have installed all the CD Drivers that my parts have come with, I looked at the Ethernet Controller properties and the manufacturer is unknown so Windows doesn't know where to find the Driver itself. I have an ASUS P8Z77-VLX Motherboard if that helps.
