Sorry about me editing my post quick enough but please no LCD's please unless it's really good. And try to keep it name brand. Sorry for being picky.

Edit: Considering the Playstation TV or the Acer GD235HZ

An IPS monitor *IS* and LCD Monitor .... LCD Monitors use different types of panels .... TN panel, various types of IPS panels and other technologies.....all of them LCDs

A LED Monitor *IS* also a LCD Monitor .... LCD's are lit with backlights the majority of which are CCFL or LED .... all of them LCDs

The best gaming monitor in your price range is the Asus VG248QE ($30 off w/ promo code EMCXMVL55, ends 9/4 ) so you can get it for $240

While IPS monitors have been getting better they can in no way compete with 144 HZ TN panels in gaming.

Here's TFTcentral's comments on the Asus IPS panel

Those wanting to play fast FPS or competitive games may want to consider some of the more gamer-orientated 120Hz+ compatible displays out there. Even better still would be models equipped with LightBoost systems for optimum motion blur elimination.

Just to be sure. This monitor will be my primary display for my Xbox One when it comes out. I'm just going to use it as a 3rd monitor on my PC. I just don't want to buy an awesome monitor and 3d not work on my Xbox One. I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 right now I'll probably use it for now that I think about it. So I don't see 144hz helping on a console which sails at 60fps.

Most likely. Although I was just going to use it as a 3rd monitor for my PC. Then use the Xbox One on that monitor when it comes out. I don't care much for 3d on PC but I would want to be able to play a movie/game in 3d on a console.

Yes you can. Although not all games are in 3d. Both my 360 and ps3 play Black Ops in 3d on the 60 inch lg in the living room.

Think I'll go with the Asus one because it's bigger and has a 2d to 3d convert thing.
