So I just finished my new system build Friday evening only to realize that I forgot to buy an OS. Oops!

Meanwhile, I have 64 bit Ubuntu running on it, but can't get Prime95 or Mprime to work. My question is, If I install Windows XP SP3 32 bit and run Prime95 32 bit, will it be able to fully test my processor and make sure it runs without fault? I don't care so much about the memory testing aspect as that was handled with Memtest86+.

(Relevant) Specs are:

Intel DZ77GA-70k Extreme Motherboard
Intel i5-3570k
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM (2x4GB)

Thanks!

Memtest86 doesn't stress test the memory subsystem, it just checks the DRAM for errors.

Prime95 works just fine on my Ubuntu 12.10 x86_64 VM
