)Don't listen to that guy, the AMD Catalyst drivers fixed the frame stuttering issue, I don't know where he has been for the past month. Probably in the nVidia fanboy cave. And the 7990 is the fastest GPU available on the market, and It's available for around $650 now so it's a definite buy if you have the money.

Are you crazy?? Medium settings?? That's gonna play games at ultra bro! hahaha Good build.
But the 7990 has some problems bro, research about the frame stuttering problems. If you want a GPU with the same power, get two 760s. Then get an SSD to improve it more.

In all honesty, gaming really doesn't care much about the CPU. You would see about the same frames from an FX 8350 and an i7 3770k. But the 3770k is better overall as it has stronger individual cores.

Oh my.. So I don't know what I'm saying.... Damn it.
But wait what is this?
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7195/amd-frame-pacing-exp...
Read it bro, the 7990 would be a waste of money, it's a powerful card YES. But the driver of AMD for multi GPU setup is NOT YET completely fixed. The stuttering problem on the 7990 is partially fixed because of the frame pacing, but you wouldn't also get the FULL potential of the card because frame pacing is like "balancing" itself. Have a read folks.
Another guy above says that CPU won't have a negative effect on your gaming, wrong again. A highend card wouldn't get its full potential if you put a lowend CPU on it. Try playing on a rig with the 8350 and a 7970, then compare it to a system with a core 2 duo 2.5ghz and a 7970. The GPU will need to wait for the CPU to finish all the processing that needs to be done in order for the GPU to move on. That's what bottleneck is, ever heard of the term?
Don't believe me again? Here http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&safe=off&hl=en&biw=17...

Yes, the 8350 will be just fine even 2 years from now. And the real benefit of the 8350 is the high-ceiling with regards to overclocking potential. When you feel like maybe you need more speed and don't want to spend money on an upgrade, a simple multiplier and voltage bump will make you a happy camper. Especially with the motherboard you chose; that thing is a beast! What matters most is pairing your cpu with a good gpu.
BUT, I would consider not getting a 7990. AMD is releasing their new line of video cards next month. You might have a serious case of buyers remorse if you spend $700 on a video card now and then new cards come out so soon after.

For your question about the 8350 being obsolete, I doubt that would be out of competition. That is a very powerful CPU. But (yes there's another catch), I've seen the AMD corporate map, they are planning to stop using the am3+ socket next year. So there will be a new lineup of CPUs and mobos, and sockets for the market. But it doesn't mean the 8350 would not be competitive. That is an 8core monster and it can be OCed easily even with air cooling only. For its price, I'd get it.

Buy the 8350, not an FX9xxx series cpu. Why? The FX 9xxx cpus are essentially just factory overclocked 8350's. They are a waste of money. Also, for the reason stated above in my other post, the 7990 is a bad choice because AMD's new line of video cards are being released next month. Personally, I would not buy a new video card until next month. Do you have a current PCIE x16 card you can use for one month? If so, buy everything (8350, Sabertooth 990fx board, RAM, etc) except for the video card until next month.

I am calm. I just wanted to be sarcastic to these kids. lol
Anyway, CooLWoLF pointed out great points for not buying the fx 9. If you want to get a video card now, then just get one. I can never emphasize this enough, but please don't play the waiting game for the new tech. When november comes, amd is going to release the new GPUs, then it will be available at your hands around mid or last week of nov. Then next year January, NVIDIA is planning to release new GPUs again, and I think December the Ti's of the 700 series GPU. That's like every 2mos, there will be new tech. I'm just not sure about ATI's plans after NVIDIA releases the 800series.
Here's the deal, the components and the level of technology that we have now is so advanced that the improvement in FPS for these GPUs newer generation is just what? Somewhere around 4fps..? It's not like back in 2000 when there were so much big leaps in technology. Intel is planning to release PCIE 4.0, but no one has even optimized the PCIE 3.0 to its full potential!! It's just a crazy time to upgrade, and there's a chance next year that DDR4 memory modules are going to be mass produced.
Bottomline is, if you are so eager to play, assemble, and enjoy your rig, just buy them now. A rig from last year will still match the rigs this year.

Ok so heres the real deal. The 13.8 Catalyst drivers fixed the Frame Latency and stuttering issues on the 7990 and crossfire solutions. It does not work on DX9 ie Skyrim and it didnt fix multi monitor frame latency. Other than that it is pretty much fixed, look up PC perspectives review about it. Also the 8350 is enough to do you for a few a years. With a good cooler, Motherboard and PSU, you will be just fine.
The 3770k is also a good choice but a waste of money for just gaming. Intel is also more expensive for both the CPU's and Motherboards. Also look at the ASrock 990FX extreme9 and its prolly the nicest motherboard i have ever had my hands on, i love it.

Silly to get an i7 if all your doing is going to be playing games though, its a waste. An i5 3570k,4670k, or 8350 is just fine for gaming. Also they are phasing out the 8350's and AM3+ motherboards over the next year, so if you want to build an AMD machine this is the time to do it i suppose. As far as GPU's go, just go ahead and get a 7990.

The 7990 is a horrible choice right now. This NEEDS to be stressed.
1) It will drop in price when the 9 series cards get released next month.
2) Being so close to new-gen cards, how could you not wait just a little longer?
Buying a 7990 now is simply throwing money away because of impatience! You must have a PCI Express card that you could use for one month as a place holder in your new system?

AM3+ is supported through 2015 via AMD's quarterly conference call in July. The 8350 is not going anywhere.
There are other issues with the 7990, but frame stuttering has been fixed in the newest drivers. Those drivers will only improve as we go on as well.
Do not listen to the Intel fools...next gen consoles are on AMD hardware.
EDIT: To add my piece about a GPU...the HD 9970 launches 25 Sep 2013, and will be available prior to the BF4 launch. BF4 will be part of the next never settle bundle with the HD 9970.

the new 9970 is suppose to rival the titan or supposedly. Also about the FX and am3+ the new roadmap was supposedly leaked and showed the phasing out of AM3+ motherboards and the FX series of CPU's, this is neither here nor there though, no one knows for sure. Could be that they are FINALLY going to update the socket and come out with a new nomenclature for there enthusiast cpu's or their new APU's are gonna be so legit that they wont need enthusiast cpu's. Who knows, only time will tell.

With that budget, go for a 4770K & wait for the 9K Series of AMD GPUs. mourice12 said:
Silly to get an i7 if all your doing is going to be playing games though, its a waste. An i5 3570k,4670k, or 8350 is just fine for gaming. Also they are phasing out the 8350's and AM3+ motherboards over the next year, so if you want to build an AMD machine this is the time to do it i suppose. As far as GPU's go, just go ahead and get a 7990.well thats my plan anyway ..but im gona wait little bit to see the new AMD 9K series gona release then am gona see if AMD has fixed it issues with the 7990 and if it didnt fixed than am gona go for the 7970 or 9750 i dont which is the best

You must have a PCI Express card that you could use for one month as a place holder in your new system?
yes . you are right ... im gona wait more to see what will AMD release anyway so yeah !

The HD 9950 is going to be ~20% faster than the 7970 GHz, the 9970 will be faster than the 7970 GHz by about ~30-35% and faster than the GTX 780, and it will be really close to the Titan.

It should be about on par I would think in terms of real world performance...the 7990 would be better still at a few things, but the 9970 will certainly not be a slouch.

The problem with the 7990 is that it uses two GPUs inside, it's a crossfire internally. But with the 9970, it's only a single card. So it wouldn't have any problems because ATI didn't have any issue on their drivers when running on a single card. And yes, that 9970 is making me wickedly excited.

All the brands and models you chose are top notch components...I wouldn't have qualms about putting anything in your build into a personal system.
In fact, my motherboard is by Asus, my cooler is by Cooler Master, I have the same CPU, my RAM is the same manufacturer and series as yours, my GPU is from Sapphire, my HDD is a WD Caviar Blue (the black you chose is slightly better). The Blu-Ray you chose by LG is nice, my drive is by Samsung, but that's 6 of one/half dozen of the other really. My PSU is by Cooler Master, you chose seasonic, which is as good as they come.
You're good...

what if i put one 7970 instead that 7990 ?!
If you can't run a game with a 7970, let me know...I can't think of anything that wouldn't run on ultra right now...Crysis 3 included.
