Hello all,
i have an intel dual port nic card installed in my home server that i connect to my router i don't use the realtek lan port that comes withe the mother board....the problem is that i keep getting error messages on the server dashboard saying that it is not connected to the internet but when i check the server is connected to the internet, but there i can't connect remotely. But if i should use the realtek lan port i dont get an error message and i can connect remotely to the home server...so my question is, is there a way to fix this without getting rid of the intel card? any and all suggestion is appreciated

If I am reading your question correctly, you should be able to disable the onboard lan port from the bios or from the Device Manager. Once the computer only recognizes one NIC slot, you should be good to go (hopefully).

Thank you for your help and quick response! Disabling it in the bios did the trick and now everything is working smoothly. Thanks again !
