I currently don't have a computer monitor, i am using a 40" LCD TV 1080p. I want to actually buy an lcd computer monitor but dont have a lot of time to do research. I was hoping that i could get some advice. My price range would be around 250 USD, but i would rather spend less. Monitor size between 23-28, refresh rate preferable above 60hz but will settle for 60hz, resolution 1920x1080, response time below 8ms.

I have a couple in mind, Asus VS247H-P, Asus VK248H_CSM, BenQ GW2750HM, or ASUS VG248QE.

I appreciate any help, thanks.

I'm currently using the ASUS VG248QE If you are planning on using it as a gaming monitor it is in my opinion the best monitor out there for gaming after trying various other 120/144hz monitors whilst at i series nothing really in my opinion compares to it. One thing to bare in mind though is the colors aren't amazing on this monitor even with the game mode enabled but its 1ms response time and 144hz pannel make it a really smooth enjoyable monitor to play on.

The ASUS VG248QE is on sale on newegg for $240 in your opinion is 120hz worth the extra $100, that is basically the major difference in the monitors, i do have a gpu thats capable of 100+ fps.

Yes it is definitely worth the difference i wouldn't go back to a 60hz after playing at 120hz+ and thats a 144hz monitor which is just another bonus.
