At the end of last year i built myself a gaming rig with a ok budget. I ended up getting a AMD fx-6100 3.3 ghz 16gb of ram a radeon 7850 2gb and a Asus sabertooth 990fx mobo. but on the box of my gpu it said 2x bandwidth with pci e x16 3.0 and i have a 2.0. I play games at max or close but it keeps nagging my mind wondering if a 3.0 port could improve my gaming and get me better frames. So is it really a huge difference in performance or is it just something that gives a little.

PCI-E 2.0 (16GB/s)
PCI-E 3.0 (32GB/s)
PCI Express Gen 3 provides a 2X faster transfer rate
But if your motherboard only support PCI-E 2.0. IT is still the same.
buy a new motherboard.. LOL
