Problem: - unable to access BIOS to attempt problem fix.!
The PC has taken to not booting up! but comes up with
Floppy Disk(s) Fail (40)
even though it's never had one.
If I just Boot it up, I get the motherboard logo, and it goes no further than that.
to get it to come up with the above error I have to put in a CD, I just use my
Acronis boot disk, not to make use of, but just because the system will then at least
come up with the error and permit an "F1" continue. (or DEL to enter setup)
Pressing "Del" just results in a blank screen, and even if I leave it for many minutes,
no advance into "setup".
Pressing F8 to get to BIOS at any stage of this doesnt get me in there, whether I press it before the error, or after.
Is there any boot Cd program i can download to perhaps Make it boot into BIOS?
or any command I could put into a CD that'd make it do this.
Function key pressing is just not getting me there.
Assuming this Is a BIOS caused problem.
Can't think of any other thing it can be.!
I ran an acronis backup recently, I loaded a very earlier backup just to see if that could fix - but nope, reloaded from most recent... but this boot problem remains a pain!
much appreciate any thoughts.
