Hi all, so my question is simple. I'm looking into building my own computer soon (hopefully if everything goes according to my plan :) ) And I need some help on one thing... I don't know how big a power supply I need o_O I mean. If it's too big,can it potentially burn anything ? Or is having a bigger power supply just future-proofing a setup. And how do I know in the future how big a supply I need ?? :)

Thanks for you're answers

Unless you are doing water cooling, have 12 hard drives or something else way outta the ordinary, simply look at the GFX card manufacturer's recommendations:

http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/7000/7950/Pages/radeon-7950.aspx#2

Guru#D also does excellent PSU recommendations

Here is Guru3Ds power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 760 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 760 SLI - On your average system the card requires you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with a bit more...
