How to get monitor resolution of 1680x1050 using ATI Radeon HD 4290

hi

i have a desktop running
windows 7 professional 64 bit
ati radeon HD 4290

i have updated the drivers and now running catalyst version 13.1

i can't get 1680x1050 resolution although that is the recommended resolution for my 22 inch hp monitor

any ideas?

That's odd. Try un-installing the gfx driver again and run Driver Sweeper from safe mode. Have it remove any AMD, ATI, and Nvidia graphic driver remnants it finds. Re-boot and install the correct driver for your on-board GPU and operating system.

Before you install the new driver, you may want to run CCleaner to rid your system of registry errors and other crap. Do the Clean and Registry portions both.
