Hello! I have 2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance pro 1600MHz memory, I thought you can only overclock it to 1600MHz but after going to the BIOS, I managed to set the DRAM frequency at 2133MHz(still running at 1.5V), am I actually setting the frequency of the RAM to that or is it just telling me that in the BIOS while it actually only runs at 1600MHz?
In CPU-Z it says that the DRAM frequency is only 1066MHz, what is happening?

System specs:
Motherboard: MSI Mpower Max z87
CPU: Intel i5 4670k @4.5GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4GB 1600MHz (1.5V)
PSU: Corsair HX850

The memory that you have is Double Data Rate (DDR) but CPUZ is reporting the frequency of the memory bus (1066) The SPEED of your memory is 2 X 1066 = 2133 MHz, so yes, your BIOS settings have indeed OC'd the memory. Congratulations!

You may want to run MemTest 86+ on it to be sure that the memory will operate at that speed without errors.

Oh right, awesome! I'm a bit of a noob at OCing memory so that really helps, thank you!
