Which GPU should I buy?

i currently have a Palit Jetstream GTX 680 4GB But It's overheating a lot so I want to upgrade. Should I get Dual SLI 770s or a 780. Which one is better with price/performance ratio?

ohh boy. I suggest you ship me your 680 and then get a 780. I'm not a fan of SLI unless you have a 144Hz monitor or 3 monitors. Otherwise, just get the 780.

I know the price of the 770 is fantastic and I think people will suggest that but I'm not one of them. The 770 4GB is around $460 and 780 3GB is $650. I think the decision could come down to if you need a 3 monitor system. If you don't then a 780 is better. If you want to get 4GB then SLI is better.

Mr T says "WHY NOT CLEAN OUT THE CARD AND REPLACE THE THERMAL PASTE, CRAZY MAN?"
If you're thinking of SLI, also check the price/availability of the GTX690.

I really wouldn't suggest dropping the 680 cuz it's a fantastic card. Maybe it's still under warranty and you can get the heat issue fixed. Otherwise, how about adding some more case fans? I have found that alone helps CPU n GPU temps a lot.
