Will the 4770k bottleneck my RAM?

Intel's specs are just the memory that they pretty much guarantee will work. You can use much faster memory in practice. 3000 MT/s is kinda extreme though.

Anyway, the performance difference between 3000 MT/s and eg. 2400 MT/s is going to be minimal in almost all applications. You could save a lot of money with some slower RAM.

So for playing high intensive games like BF4 will be for example, 2400MHz will be fine? Most games run fine on 1600MHz, but we're talking next gen here, BF4 is gonna be a resource hungry application, just wanna make sure I've got a nice big transfer rate. 8*2400 is 19.2GBps which should be fine anyway. What are your thoughts?

For gaming, even 2400 MT/s is overkill.

And DDR3-2400 gives a peak memory bandwidth of 38.4 GB/s in dual channel mode.
