The PC is probably trying to boot off the USB. I sometimes get this if I've left a flash drive in the USB slot by accident, and next time I boot I get the read error.
You'll need to go into the boot menu of the bios and make sure that your OS drive is the primary boot drive. It may also be worth trying to disable USB booting in the bios if at all possible.
