Hello,
I have been experiencing problems with gaming, namely BF3 multiplayer and Far Cry3. At first I thought it was GPU, but later I found out there is more than FPS drop on the GPU, even GPU usage and power consumption, so I begun to search for a solution somewhere else. So far I ended up with the most stable system going in Far Cry3 with these BIOS settings: Power saving OFF, Cool n quiet OFF, 6 core OFF, C1E OFF...I have set RAM frequency to 1600 from 1866, it was automatic detected before. Then I pushed the third option in not advanced menu UEFI BIOS - OPTIMUM mode... That basically this: CPU freq = approx 4300, BUS freq = 216-217, DRAM freq = a little less than 1500 MHZ... Looks very strange to me, but like I said, it is the most stable setting so far - on Maxed 1080p 4x MSAA in Far Cry3 30-45 FPS, before the same with BRUTAL lags - FPS 10-20 for a few seconds, until it got stabilized again. According to the info received while watching te GPU on-screen details, it really looks like there are moments when GPU waits for something to be processed from the CPU, that is where the LAGs begin. Plus other games like Max Payne 3 or Metro Last Light have on adequate graphic details anticipated FPS and NO sudden LAGs with GPU showing decreasing power consumption and GPU usage.

I also did a stability test in AMD overdrive - very bad results. It never lasts 5 minutes...24 hours??? - no way.

Also I add my specs for sure:
FX 8350 unlocked
MSI N660 GTX TF2 OC (up to date)
MB ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 (newest BIOS version)
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866
.. this should be everything needed

Thank you all very much, I really do not know what else should I do, cause it really pisses me off.

Hello, for anyone interested in this topic:
Some time after flashing the bios to the newest version (about two months old) I tried to load default settings of BIOS. Cores @ 4.0 plus Turbo 100+ MHZ. DRAM freq. 1333... OK...I tried the system ballance -> OK :] STILL...there was only 1333 MHZ on RAM...so I tried setting it on 1866 manually without touching anything else. Again, seems to be working properly, tried BF3 with 42+ players, no sudden performance drops.

Maybe it was the older BIOS and its RAM incompatibility with my Crucial RAM. Anyway, I got really frustrated...

Oh, hi there...
I forgot a little about this topic, but I might have found sollution. Maybe it was only the matter of turning the AMD Turbo mode in BIOS OFF. Now it runs @ 4 GHz and it is fine. Plus I have manually decreased CPU voltage...cannot remember what numbers specifically...RAM now runs @ 1866 and stable, GPU on default OC or OC OC :D also stable...looks like no problem at all. But what I do not know: Is PSU causing the problem or is MoBo too "mainstream" to maintain ANY kind of OC on CPU? I would go for the MoBo more likely, since the PSU should have enough spare power in this parciluar system.
