You were already looking at a GPU bottleneck with the i3-3220 and his advice is to upgrade to an i5-3570K. *jaw drops*

Hey buddy, before me or anyone else can answer your question, I think we need some more information:

What's your budget? What games do you play or plan on playing?

Your current setup will experience a GPU bottleneck. I'd knock down the CPU to a FX-6300 and use the savings to bump up the GPU to a HD 7870.

Actually, changing the processor to an FX-6300is not compatible with your current build. However, for about 80 bucks more, you can bump that i3 3220 up to an i5 3570K which performs well at stock, and is very overclockable whenever you feel comfortable. My personal preference is Nvidia, but AMD makes some very good gpus for the money, and the 7850 ain't too shabby :). I'd upgrade that processor and let her rip baby.

You might also consider bumping that psu up a little bit maybe to a 650 or so. In my experience it's always better to have a little extra in reserve.

I'm always open to correction, but with the performance between the 7850 and the 7870 being so close, and the margin between an i5 3570k and an amd 6300 being a bit more significant, that's where I would upgrade. Think future, my friend. How much longer will a 7850 be relevant than an fx 6300? Yes, immediately, you may experience a bit of a bottleneck right now with an i5 and a 7870, but next year or the year after when you want to upgrade (swap, install drivers, good to go), your processor will still be good to go instead of tearing down your old system and rebuilding. And the gpu bottleneck you'll experience now, still won't drop you below 60 FPS
