I recently upgraded my pc to i5 3570k, Radeon 7950, ASUS P8Z77-V LK, and new case but not my ram and psu. I use my pc mainly for gaming and it's not running as good as I thought and I think it might be my ram. I am not sure.

You're running 8GB of nonidentical RAM? I would pick up a set of 1600MHz RAM (2x4GB so you can upgrade to 16GB later if needed). I noticed a step up from my 1333 to 1600 in overall system "snappiness."
