I am looking for help in finding a new GPU for when I install Windows 8.1 in October. I build my own PC’s and freeze up like a deer in headlights when it comes to GPU’s!

I don’t game, I use Lightroom 5, Premiere Pro 5.5 and After Effects 5.5, occasionally Photoshop 5.5.

Currently I have a PNY NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT including,
SSD
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 motherboard
16GB RAM
Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-900 900W Power Supply
Dual 24” monitors

So I know what is important, for the GPU, memory, CUDA and the mercury engine.

This current system is a Windows 7 system I built 2 years ago. With the new card I’m hoping to leap frog when in an about a year I’ll upgrade the CPU & MB.

Here’s what I’m considering:

1. Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 4GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/Displayport PCI-Express Video Card

2. ASUS GTX 660 Ti Series Graphics Card Overclocked Edition Graphics Cards GTX660 TI-DC2O-2GD5

3. ASUS GeForce GTX 670-DC2-2GD5 VGA - 2GB GDDR5 - GPU Tweak - PCIE 3.0 Graphics Card Graphics Cards GTX670-DC2-2GD5

You're absolutely right on what you need for Adobe. I would go with the 4GB GTX 670. But the 660Ti would also be great in a pinch, same CUDA count, less memory bandwidth though.
