What's the voltages of SATA power cable?

Earlier in another thread i mentioned two of my HDD's burned and smoked on the first boot of a new build PC and then i tried to connect an old HDD and its fried too.I did some research and checked the PSU socket and found the below image on Internet:

Sata power cable has 5 cord and according to the image the middle one must be a 5v,right?
so i checked my PSU with a multimeter and guess what?here is pin-out of my PSU SATA socket:

So my deceased devices got 12v instead of 5v?is that the reason of getting fried?

I checked the end of cable today and the middle of the connector was 12v.
now just want to now what voltage it should be...
