Hi guys,

I bought a gtx295 a couple if days ago and I'm having issues with it.

When connected to my PC one green slight shows and the other light is dead.

When booting it doesn't post or show no message even though I've disabled onboard GPU.

In the device manager pc doesn't recognise that GPU is on the slot.

This ain't a PSU issue as I've a corsair 750W.

My rig is z68 pro 3 gen
8gb ram
I3 2120
500GB

Any suggestions.

Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean but I've trtes using that auto detect from nVidia website and it doesn't detect it.

My pc has one GPU slot. As of now I'm using ATI 6870. So there's nothing wrong with slot.

Very common problem with the 295's.

Two possible causes: The main card may have damage to all the little capacitors on the back (check to make sure you aren't missing one). Or the NF200-sli chip (also on the main card) will be faulty (you can reflow it if you have a reflow station).

A third possible cause is that the card isn't seated correctly. Remove it and reinsert it a few times. But it's probably one of the above.

I've tried driver sweeper and nothing changed & also re-seated it a couple if times and no joy.

If its dead GPU is there a way that can I fix it ?
